Draft for counsel review · 4 September 2026
What we collect
GitHub supplies your account identity. Causerie stores the conversations, files, settings, model receipts, and workspace data you choose to create. Stripe receives payment and billing details; Causerie stores Stripe identifiers and an append-only credit ledger, not card numbers. In a salon, live presence contains only your display name, role, and connection time; draft text and cursor movement are not sent.
How model requests move
Hosted and OpenRouter BYOK requests pass through OpenRouter to the model provider named on the receipt. Causerie requests zero-data-retention endpoints and denies providers that collect request data. Client-direct compatible endpoints are contacted by your browser and do not pass through Flock.
What we do not do
Flock does not train models on your content, sell personal data, run advertising trackers, or use device fingerprints. Product analytics are not active. Operational logs exclude message bodies, keys, and payment secrets.
Storage and subprocessors
- Vercel: web application and API execution.
- Cloudflare: D1 database, R2 private files, DNS, durable streams, salon presence, and uptime probes.
- GitHub: authentication.
- OpenRouter and the provider shown on each receipt: model inference.
- Stripe: checkout, tax calculation, subscriptions, and payment records.
- Resend: transactional email when enabled.
Your controls
You can export Markdown, JSONL, lockfiles, and attachments without paying. Account deletion removes active application data and cancels the Stripe customer. Stripe may retain legally required financial records. Provider backups expire under provider retention policies.
